Born in the province of Quebec, Denise spent her childhood in the county of Bellechasse on the family farm. These precious moments in the countryside are still today an inexhaustible source of subjects for her paintings, both by the expression of nature and by her interest in preserving images of the past.
Graduated in architecture in 1980, she completed a “bachelor’s degree in visual art” from Université Laval, Quebec City, in 1985 and an MBA from University of Ottawa in 1995. With abilities in photography, design and illustration, she worked in the field of architecture, graphic design and marketing.
Denise has held solo and group exhibitions in Quebec and Ontario. She has received many awards of excellence for the quality of her artworks. She gives painting workshops. She is also involved in the arts community by serving on various administrative committees of cultural organizations.
